DOmanine de Durban
Located on a hillside plateau overlooking the village of Beaumes-of-Venice, the Domaine of Durban was founded in 1159. The Domaine dominates the vineyard and offers an impressive panorama. Since the Sixties, the Leydier family has nurtured and developed the production of the now internationally-renowned wines.
The Domaine de Durban is located on soil composed of a mixture of Trias (40%) and Clay-Limestone (60%), which brings richness and complexity to the wines. The sloped vineyard benefits from broad exposure to the sun and a micro-climate which helps it to produce an excellent harvest of fine wines every year. The relationship between the vines and the soil offers ideal conditions for the production of muscats, fruity white wines and rich, textured red wines.
