WINES FROM DOMAINE PATRICK BOTTEX

ABOUT DOMAINE PATRICK BOTTEX
The village of Cerdon is located along the river Ain that carries down the waters from the Alps.

From the Beaujolais, the winemakers from Cerdon inherited the Gamay grape.

From the Jura area, they got the lesser-known Poulsard. Poulsard is a grape that ripens well on the steep and sizzling slopes of the pre-Alps but the color remains light and the acidity quite high, enhancing its fruity quality. Poulsard together with Gamay have a natural propensity to fizziness. By working those grapes with ancestral methods, i.e. a cool first fermentation and a second natural one in bottle, without adding any sugar or yeasts, Monsieur Bottex obtains a natural, fruity, fresh and light wine with a little spritz that makes it highly enjoyable on hot summer days. It is absolutely perfect for an aperitif: the alcohol degree is a very low 8.5˚
