Family-owned since its founding in 1856, located in Vertus in the prestigious “Côte des Blancs". All Premier Cru vinyardssome– Les Mont-Ferrés, Les Barriliers- are farmed exclusively with organic methods. Chalky soils are covered with a thin layer of limestone which collects the heat then radiates down to the roots, ensures good drainage and provides essential minerals.  The.  Hand harvesting ensures a rigorous selection of only the best grapes. The Les Mont-Ferrés vineyard is near the Vertus plain with Chardonnay vines averaging 40 years of age. 

These grapes are used in the NV Brut Blanc de Blancs and NV Brut Grande Réserve Permier Cru.  The Les Barilliers vineyard is located on a slight dome and planted to Chardonnay.  Grapes from this vineyard are used in the vintage Brut Blanc de Blancs and Cuvée “R”. The wines are made exclusively from the first pressing (tête de cuvée).  After undergoing alcoholic fermentation, the wine is allowed to remain on the lees through malolactic fermentation, giving richness and body.  Part of each vintage is kept in reserve in old oak barrels and is used for blending in the non-vintage wines, ensuring a consistent house style. The wines are aged from 2-5 years in the domaine’s chalk cellars before release.
